New City Building

On Saturday May 30th 2009 at 2:00 pm our city will begin a new era. We will have the official ground breaking for our new city building. A project of this magnitude has not happened in Highland Heights for many decades. Mayor Meyers and city council will be joined by other officials to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Since Northern Kentucky University has begun their new soccer stadium in the old Reuscher Park area and will assume the rest of the property containing the city building next July (2010), we are constructing a new city building directly across Johns Hill Road. This property that was owned by Asbury Methodist Church will be the new home for the Highland Heights city building.

We would like to invite all residents of Highland Heights to join your Mayor and Council on Saturday May 30th for the new city building ground breaking. Parking will be available in the lot by the present city building. The ceremony will take place across the street at the base of the new grounds. There will be police available to make sure crossing the street will be done safely. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony in the present city building.
